Dear Members: The calendar year end is approaching and we prepare for the new season that awaits us. This is my favorite time of the year because I love to decorate my home for the holidays. I begin with Labor Day and just keep going. Making my home a welcoming and warm atmosphere is important to me. My work atmosphere is just as important, so I try to keep myself abreast of new technology and ideas to make my job run smoother. The ASPMA board and lecturers help me to achieve this. Now is a great time to think about you and your future. ASPMA offers three Intern Positions and a Secretary Position each year during this time of year. IF you have ever thought about becoming more involved in podiatry and being part of educating other assistants, fill out an application. Go to our website www.aspma.org and look into both positions. As an Intern you will work side by side with one of our board members and see what it takes to run a conference. Being Secretary, you have an actual board position and responsibilities to the board and ASPMA members. ASPMA is preparing for the New York Clinical Conference in New York City’s Times Square. Yes, the Times Square where New Years Eve takes place. We are having two tracks on Friday and Saturday, and a Sunday filled with workshops. I highly recommend joining us in New York at the Marriott Marquis from January 25-27, 2013. We have some interesting lectures and informative workshops. You will not be disappointed. Let’s not forget the ASPMA Clinical exams, which will be offered to those assistants who will be attending conferences in South Carolina, Indiana, or Philadelphia. Take that extra step in your career now. Become a Certified Podiatric Medical Assistant.
Respectfully,
Nancy E. Diaz, PMAC ASPMA President |
